Thought I'd drop by. My name's Shaheen and I play lots of games - old favourites being Bloodbowl and Necromunda amongst many, many others.

yeah that would be of great help as i said from irvine so dont know the place that well :-) just hope my phone is back from being repaired by the 24th so will be able to text you, my plan was to bring down my skaven and Nids so have a choice depending what other people play :-)

Irvine...the club is in the Prestwick Community Centre, so i think so that you may need to drive here, but let the others tell you that

is it easy enough to get to the club with out driving (coming from irvine)?

do armies used need to be 100% painted?

i play 40k (Tyranids 4k and Blood Angels1.5k) and fantasy (Skaven 4k, Daemons 4k, O&G 2.5k, Beastmen 2.5k, Tomb Kings 2.5k, Lizardmen 5k, Wood Elves 4k+) and currently do paint work for friends and other clubs around west of scotland.

Sean ... you'll need to get each person that comes to the club to commit to a Yes/No/Am I Bothered on your idea for a Thursday game night, with some consideration for the main club members. OR, get the community hall fixed to suit the large number of players who turn up.

does everyone know how to make a Army List to 40k?

cos if so then you all know that you must have two troops choices and one HQ unit, NO EXCUSES

the 2 troops and 1 HQ are Compulsory
while the rest of the army is optional

just that all of you know and understand and hopefully look at your Codex's to create an army that is legal

and hopefully understand what the Codex is saying about each unit in every army

Ah Tom, could you bring in either a mix of 6 or 8 ww2 germans + brits + americans please, so we can chose a suvivior each, 

 Will do - but it is a pain finding different boxes of troops in my tip of a storage room then worse having to find the correct boxes to put them back again!  Mmm 28 mm Americans may be difficult.

2 dealers are: North Star (UK) go to their page and Search Zombies comes up with 8 options. Other is Brigade Games (US) they do a lot of Zombies and rules etc,  some of whch come from UK.  Others - Hasslefree, Foundry - I think + lots of the smaller fantasy firms.

A good source for detail is the GWP3 Forum where the VBCW is located.  Go to the Tardis page - there are several Zombie posts such as Zombie science.  There was one comparing zombie manufacturers but I didn't see it on a quick search.

I am chairman of Prestwick Wargames club, and I am 19 years of age. I run my own miniature painting service of Jacobyte Minis. I currently employed by South Ayrshire Council as a lollipopman and a school cleaner. I am currently in a relationship with my lovely woman Caitlin Downie, whom I have been with for two and a half years.

My hobbies, and interests are Wargaming, history, computer gaming and painting miniatures. My History subjects are Napoleonic, Jacobite Rebellion, English Cival War, Ancients and Medieval. I also do Sci Fi and Fantasy Wargaming, from Warhammer.
